Stelia Aerospace inaugurated its factory of the future at Méaulte Thursday, March 2nd by investing € 70 million in the reorganisation of workflows. With the PingFlow company participation, the company launched the concept in 2014. PingFlow specialises in digital visual management.
THE ROLE OF PINGFLOW IN THE FUTURE STELIA FACTORY
The inauguration of the new workshop dedicated to the A320 Airbus highlighted the new computer system for the piloting of Flux developed by PingFlow.
This system has been designed and adapted to the management of the long-cycle flows of the aeronautics industry.
The features of the tool:
- management of line-side assistance calls
- monitoring of operations to the station with the calculation of the lead-lag
- logistic calls and preparation of kits
- supervision of real-time business KPIs.
Furthermore, this system is the result of close collaboration between the PingFlow technical team and Stelia operational staff. Moreover, the objective of the system is to establish a reactive management similar to that existing on the automobile assembly lines, which is requested by AIRBUS.
So far, the Company implemented the main features. Future developments will focus on the industrialisation of the system. As a result, Stelia company will be able to install the system at different sites.
THE PRODUCTION OF STELIA
First of all, the main objective purpose of this reconfiguration is the establishment of an aviation factory of the future. Also, the organisation is no longer made by product lines but by moving lines, which allows the regrouping of different trades on chains that advance as the production progresses.
French politician Xavier Bertrand participated in the future factory inauguration and expressed the pride of the Stelia in Hauts-de-France region. Also, he shared his impression on Twitter page.
I am proud that there is an aeronautical sector in the Hauts-de-France region with leading companies
